A HUB that supported Ukrainian refugees in Salisbury has closed.
The Hub for Ukraine, held in Salisbury Methodist Church, opened for the last time on Friday, November 3.
Since greeting its first Ukrainian family on April 1, 2022, the hub has grown with support from the community to offer opportunities, such as English classes, to refugees staying in and around the city.
Organiser of the hub Jane Ebel MBE gave a heartfelt message to the Ukrainian community at the final meeting, she said: "We are hugely proud of everything that our brave and resilient Ukrainian community has contributed to the fabric of our lives in Salisbury and beyond.
"Underpinning all of this though has been the steady, compassionate, generous and limitless offer of support by the Salisbury Methodist Church, its staff and its volunteers."
While it is the end of the physical hub at the church, online 24/7 support will still be available for those who need it.
Oksana Prokopivy has established her own initiative in St Martin's Church where she will open a Saturday Ukrainian school, hold dance and language classes and offer a place to share food and drink.
