A SECTION of the A303 was closed for more than two hours after emergency services were called to a vehicle that had left the road.
The A303 westbound between the A34 at Bullington Cross and the B3048 at Longparish was shut shortly before 2am on Thursday, November 2.
National Highways South East had reported on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the collision involved a vehicle that had left the carriageway.
Hampshire Constabulary officers were on scene with National Highways traffic officers who were assisting with traffic management.
The road was reopened at around 4.46am.
A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from Basingstoke, Sutton Scotney and Andover were alerted to an RTC on the westbound carriageway of the A303 near Longparish at around 1.30am.
"Firefighters released one casualty trapped inside a vehicle which had left the road, before they were passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.
"HIWFRS left the scene and returned to station at around 2.30am."
