It reads: "Following a premises search approximately £3,500 of suspected stolen goods were located and seized."
It continues: "We’d like to ask our communities to allow us to conduct the investigation and not to speculate on Facebook about this further. We will provide an update to the community as soon as we can.
"In the meantime, if you are a victim of crime or anti-social behaviour we’d ask that you report these matters on either 101 or via our website."
The man remains in police custody.
