Wiltshire Council said urgent repair works on the Roman Road in Ford are expected to continue for more than another week.
Data uploaded by the council onto the one.network website, which collates and maps roadworks and closures across the country, detailed that repair works were needed to the parapets following a crash.
The closure will affect an approximately 75-metre section of the Roman Road running in a north-westerly direction from its junction with Ford Lane, 20 metres either side of the Ford bridge.
The works are expected to cause delays until at least Friday, November 3.
