THESE five people were recently sentenced in court for motoring offences.
GILES CHARLES VIGAR, 58, of Cranborne, was caught driving a Mini at 52 miles per hour on a 30-limit road in Sixpenny Handley on September 23, 2022.
Weymouth Magistrates Court ordered him to pay £827 and endorsed his driving record with six points on October 17.
GARY JOHN HELLAWELL, 61, of Alton Magna, admitted to breaking the 30 miles per hour speed limit at The Avenue in Wilton in a Mazda MX5 Sport on December 22, 2022.
He was ordered to pay £101 and three penalty points were added to his driving record at Salisbury Magistrates Court on October 16.
CAPT JOSHUA BALDWIN, 30, of Bulford Barracks, appeared in Salisbury Magistrates Court on October 16 to make a statutory declaration after he was convicted of failing to give information relating to the identification of a speeding driver in Bristol on May 28, 2021.
He told Magistrates that he was on deployment with the armed forces.
Baldwin admitted breaking a 20-mile-per-hour speed limit in Horse Street, Chipping Sodbury, on April 25, 2021, and was ordered to pay £100 and three points were added to his record.
ANTHONY JAMES BROOKS, 36, of Wick Lane in Downton, failed to give information relating to the driver of a Citroen Panel Van who was alleged to have been guilty of a traffic offence when he was required to by Dorset's chief officer of police after February 6.
Weymouth Magistrates Court ordered him to pay £1,014 and endorsed his driving record with six points.
JOSEPH WILLIAM JOYCE, 32 of Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, has to pay £239 after pleading guilty to driving on London Road, Salisbury, without insurance. He was fined £92, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £37, and costs of £110.
Disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months. Disqualification obligatory due to repeat offending. Driving record endorsed. (Six penalty points determined).
