Many people have already taken to the heights enjoying rides such as the big wheel, the dodgems or having fun on the side stalls in the hopes of winning a prize.
The origins of the fair lie deep in Salisbury's history - dating back to 1227. King Henry III granted a charter to the Bishop of Salisbury to hold a fair which takes place on the third Monday in October and the charter remains to-date.
