AN INTERNATIONAL festival of voice will take to the Guildhall stage soon for a ten-day event.

Six events have already sold out with others nearing capacity and the festival has announced record sales as it celebrates its 10th annual event.

Direct from the BBC proms, Broadway and London’s West End, singers will take to the stage at the Guildhall and the Wilton Italiante Church will host the BBC Singers on the opening night of a rare, out-of-London performance which will be conducted by Bob Chilcott, one of the UK’s foremost composers and conductors.

It will be recorded for broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on Friday, October 20.

The Live at the Musicals performances are sold out but limited tickets are available for the brand new production of Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte with a cast from the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne and the English National Opera on Friday, October 20, Wednesday, October 25 and Saturday, October 28.

Amy Webber who sold out a run of shows at Edinburgh Fringe this year is providing a critically acclaimed show for fans of comedy and cabaret. Gilbert & Sullivan enthusiasts will have the chance to Sing Along to HMS Pinafore with the leading British cast from Opera della Luna and the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival.

There are a few tickets left for Mini Music Makers for the younger audience and adults which will take place on Saturday, October 21 and Unlocking Memories has tickets which is a therapeutic workshop for people with dementia and their carers.

The ten-day event starts on Friday, October 19 and finishes on Saturday, October 28.
