A "small school with a big heart" has welcomed a new headteacher.
Emma Haworth joined Coombe Bissett CE VA Primary School in September with 25 years of teaching experience, 12 of which were as a head teacher.
Mrs Haworth said her passion in life is teaching, adding: "I am at my happiest during a school day when I am in a classroom with the children.
"I love to learn and I love nurturing that love in others. Watching children thrive and flourish is a privilege that I do not take lightly."

Aiming for children to come to school with a smile and leave with a bigger one, Mrs Haworth said the school "emanates warmth and compassion".
"It is definitely a small school with a big heart," she added.
Chair of governors Trudy Nazer described Mrs Haworth as “full of energy, enthusiasm and drive", adding: "We can already see what an impact she is having on our school and we all look forward to working with her in the future.”
The school, in Shutts Lane, is inviting people to visit and meet Mrs Haworth.
