Salisbury Reds has issued a statement after a bus stopped traffic on Milford Street following an incident involving a pedestrian.
Multiple police units and ambulances could be seen at the scene on the afternoon of Friday, September 29 after emergency services were called at approximately 4.13pm.
The section of Milford Street between Brown Street and Queen Street remained closed to vehicle traffic until approximately 4.51pm.
The South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that one person had been transferred to Salisbury District Hospital by land ambulance.
Salisbury Reds operations manager David Newton released a statement on behalf of the company at approximately 6.34pm.
He said: “A Salisbury Reds bus was involved in an incident with a pedestrian earlier today in Milford Street.
“The circumstances behind the event are currently unclear and we are cooperating fully with the police as they carry out their investigation.
“Our primary concerns right now are supporting our driver, and for the wellbeing of the pedestrian involved. They are being treated in hospital and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.”
