Three men forced their way into a house and assaulted the homeowner before making off with car keys and a grey Peugeot 207 which was parked outside the address, according to Wiltshire Police.
The incident took place at approximately 10.30am on Sunday, September 17 at a residence in Solstice Rise in Amesbury.
Officers have since located the vehicle in Salisbury and have seized it as part of investigations.

Det Sgt Darren Penny said: “We believe this was a targeted attack, however, it was extremely frightening for the victim.
“We believe the three suspects were wearing masks at the time and used a plank of wood to cause injury to the homeowner.
“Extensive enquiries are currently underway by the South Burglary Unit to identify those responsible and those living in Solstice Rise can expect to see an increased police activity in the area while officers conduct their investigation.”
Police are now appealing for information and witnesses to help solve the crime. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any relevant CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage has been asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101 quoting crime reference number 54230098446.
