RINGWOOD residents took to the streets for their annual carnival to celebrate the end of summer.
The charity-run Ringwood Carnival took place on Saturday, September 16, and it involved two processions as well as an after-party.
Guests were also treated to an aerial display from the Red Arrows who flew in a V formation over the town.
Lucy Knight from Ringwood Junior School and Mia Marcinek formerly from Poulner Junior School led the precessions after being crowned Carnival Princesses at the British Pedal Car Grand Prix in July.
A spokesperson for the Ringwood Carnival Society said: "Our parades are the heart and soul of the day and include our wonderful community floats, feature vehicles, Carnival Queen on a horse-drawn carriage, marching bands, dance troops and steam engines.
"Ringwood Carnival Society is so proud of the diversity and strength of our procession."
The carnival offered more than just the processions with a BMX display team, Ringwood Fire Station opened its doors and live music played throughout the afternoon.
The next Ringwood Carnival will be held on the third September 21, 2024.
