SET in South Africa in the 1980s, the new one-night-only play portrays a woman at odds with her conservative Afrikaans neighbours and the local minister.
The Road to Mecca by Athol Fugard depicts the woman who becomes a sculptor later in life and her ally, a younger woman from Cape Town who has strong ideas about the problems facing South Africa at that time.
