Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh is set to join city leaders at Salisbury Market Place for a special tree dedication and plaque unveiling.
Sophie will unveil the plaque honouring multi-faith communities after being welcomed by Mayor of Salisbury, Councillor Atiqul Hoque, the city’s first Muslim mayor. The Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Mrs Sarah Rose Troughton, High Sheriff of Wiltshire, Mr Pradeep Bhardwaj, Canon Chancellor of Salisbury Cathedral, The Revd Canon Edward Probert, the Chairman of Wiltshire Council, Councillor James Sheppard and the Mayor of Saintes, Bruno Drapron, will also be in attendance.
The event will begin at 1pm on Thursday, September 14 on the Market Place.
