Rob Wood has been with the Wellington Academy for 14 years, previously in the role of Deputy Headteacher.
He said: “I am thrilled to be starting my first year as Headteacher for The Wellington Academy. Jane and I have welcomed this student charter as a promise to the students at The Wellington Academy, to ensure that they are provided with the best possible education.
“We take it upon ourselves as a whole school to celebrate all efforts and achievements from our pupils and equally celebrate anyone who has had to try and try again to master all aspects of their learning.”
The Student Charter outlines the school’s expectations of delivery for each student and encourages positive teamwork and outlines the opportunities available for each student to partake in some kind of new activity to enrich learning and life experiences.
