With Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense having opened the season the day before, hundreds attended Wiltshire Creative’s Autumn Season Welcome Morning at Salisbury Playhouse.
The Saturday, September 2 event offered free tickets to Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense to the first 100 people through the doors, with multiple talks presented on subjects including set design and the history of the Playhouse.

There was also free face-painting for children, a ‘decorate a mask’ creative session and a colouring competition that had a prize of free tickets to pantomime, Dick Whittington
A series of presentations, including Artistic Director Gareth Machin and the Wiltshire Creative team discussing highlights of the autumn season; a first look at the set design for Jeeves & Wooster in Perfect Nonsense with behind-the-scenes insight into how it was created and a journey through the Wiltshire Creative archives.
This season will see the company increase its work as a producing theatre, with three in-house productions on the Salisbury Playhouse Main Stage. Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, a co-production with Octagon Theatre Bolton, started the autumn season on Friday, September 1, followed by The Girl on the Train, running from October 19 – November 11. The season culminates with Dick Whittington, running from November 25 – January 7.
