A SPECIAL service remembering the passing of Queen Elizabeth II - the longest-reigning British Monarch will take place at Salisbury Cathedral.
The Late Queen reigned for 70 years surpassing the reign of her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria who spent 63 years on the throne.
One year on to the day, Salisbury Cathedral will mark Accession Day when His Majesty the King came to the throne on September 8, 2022 and will remember Queen Elizabeth II who died at Balmoral Castle aged 96.
During the Evenson service at Salisbury Cathedral, special prayers will be said at 5.30 pm and thanks will be given for the years of service she gave to the country and to the commonwealth during her long reign.
During the service, prayers will also be said for the King and he will be thanked for his service and God will be asked to guide him.
The service is open to all.
