Today, September 4, Wiltshire Police confirmed that the investigation has closed and no further action was taken against the man.

The crime was recorded as having an 'outcome 21' which is used in cases where criminalisation and disclosure may not be proportionate or suitable as it could be prejudicial to further employment or voluntary roles.

These outcomes should only be considered in exceptional circumstances and should be appropriate for the seriousness of the offence in question.

At the time, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure yesterday after officers were called to Queen Elizabeth Gardens shortly after 4.30pm following several reports from members of the public regarding a naked man."
