A MAN was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Hurn.
The crash was reported to police at 4.47pm yesterday, Monday, August 28, on Matchams Lane near to Hurn Post Office at the junction of Avon Causeway.
It involved one car, a silver 3 Series BMW Coupe.
The driver, a man in his 40s and from West Moors, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers investigating the serious injury crash are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of Dorset Police’s Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision.
“I would like to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.
“Also, I would urge anyone who might have captured relevant dashcam footage to please contact us.
“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closure, which was necessary to enable us to conduct our investigation.”
