Pedestrians will now be greeted by a much livelier and colourful scene at the Exeter Street Roundabout after its sprucing up by Wiltshire youth under the direction of artist Fred Fieber, who also assisted with the decoration of a subway at The Friary in 2016.
The project was undertaken by Splash Wiltshire, with various members of the community showing up to help out, including city councillors Lynne Blackwood and Sven Hocking.

The theme of the mural was the aquatic wildlife present in the River Avon, including an eel, a frog and a swan.
Young people from Wiltshire ranging in age from 10-16 years old took part in the painting. The youngest was 10-year-old Lola-Rose Day, who claimed to be “the most artistic one” present.
Community First chief executive Lynn Gibson said: “We are really excited to be undertaking this community project once again in Salisbury. The benefits to those that are involved can and often are life-changing, giving them the chance to make lasting friendships, build confidence and believe in themselves.”
