A COUNCIL vacancy has arisen following the swift resignation of a former city councillor.
Salisbury City Council is looking for someone new to represent the Harnham West ward after Eleanor Wills resigned earlier this week.
If 10 electors from the area write to the returning officer at Wiltshire Council by September 15 asking for an election, one will be held no later than November 17.
Otherwise, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

The election request form can be found on the Salisbury City Council website or collected from the Salisbury Information Centre.
