BOUNCY castles, children’s games, and a tug of war challenge forms part of a free family fun day event taking place this weekend.
Downton Leisure Centre will be giving away hog roasts and hot dogs on Sunday, September 3 and taster sessions are available which include hula hoop lessons as well as trial sessions for tennis to see how fast people can serve.
There is also free access to the gym.

Manager of the leisure centre, Dave Taylor said: “There’s no catch, and there’ll be no hard sell.
“We’d just like people to come over, have a good time, and get some idea of what we’re about.”
Attendees will also have a chance to win a year’s Gym and Classes membership for two worth £700, beauty treatments, tennis coaching sessions or a Bouncy Castle booking for children’s parties worth £212.
A charity football match will take place alongside the fun day.

On Friday, September 1, Dave Taylor will wing-walk for charity alongside his business partner, Mathi Mathivannan, and members Malcolm Dean, 78 and Gus Yes, 74.
The charities that will benefit include the Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK, Stars Appeal, and Taxi – for war veterans.
