A MAN charged with murder appeared in court this afternoon.
Maurice Jones, of Gainsborough Close, Bemerton Heath, was brought into the dock at Salisbury Magistrates Court while in custody today, August 24.
The 25-year-old, who wore a grey sweatshirt, allegedly murdered Tsvetomir Genov in Gainsborough Close on Tuesday, August 22.
David Fosler, prosecuting, told magistrates: "You have no power to grant bail nor hear this matter."

Since murder is an indictable-only offence, the case must be heard by a judge in the crown court.
Jones will appear in Winchester Crown Court at 10am on Tuesday, August 29.
He remains in custody and the case continues.
