SALISBURY Cathedral had to be evacuated this afternoon after a fire alarm was set off by accident.
Two fire crews responded after the alarm system sounded in Salisbury Cathedral.
The event took place on Tuesday, August 22 and fire services were on the scene for just 21 minutes.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to the Cathedral at 3.49pm after the alarm system sounded, a crew from Salisbury and one from Wilton were in attendance, and the stop came in at 4.10pm – it looks as though a call point was activated accidentally in the toilet block.”
