A WOMAN has won a year's supply of free bread from a Salisbury bakery.
As part of Salisbury Business Improvement District (BID) and Henderson's Artisan Bakery's joint Indies Month competition, one fortunate individual has won the incredible prize of a year's worth of bread from Henderson’s Bakery.
Sophie Cunningham is the lucky winner and is set to enjoy 52 weeks of freshly baked goodness.
She said "I was so excited to win this amazing prize, especially with how amazing Henderson’s bread is.
"We cannot wait to try all the different types of bread to see what our favourite is, and the kids are already enjoying tasting the different loaves already.
"Thanks to Henderson’s and Experience Salisbury for such an amazing prize."
Henderson's Artisan Bakery, described as a "beloved local independent gem", offered up this amazing prize in support of this new ‘Salisbury is Your City of Independents’ Campaign.
Paul Henderson, owner of the Salisbury bakery said, "We’re so pleased our competition created so much interest and hope that the winner and her family will enjoy the proceeds."
The social media competition, held as part of Salisbury BID's ongoing campaign ‘Salisbury: Your City of Independents’, garnered widespread participation and enthusiasm from the community.
The competition was part of a month of Indies giveaways on Experience Salisbury, aimed at celebrating Salisbury's thriving independent businesses, and raising awareness about the importance of supporting local enterprises.
Salisbury BID works to support and promote over 500 businesses within the Salisbury city centre.
The BID aims to create opportunities for businesses and enhance the city as a whole, to ultimately drive footfall and increase spend in our modern medieval city.
Dan Collins, Business Manager at Salisbury BID said, "We know the vital importance of shopping local, and make sure to use our platform, Experience Salisbury, to highlight the variety on offer in our bustling city through business features, events, offers, news and guides.
"Indies Month was an opportunity for us to promote our independent businesses specifically, and this year our new marketing team have gone above and beyond to promote and highlight Salisbury’s indie businesses and the skilled entrepreneurs behind each one.
"They have big plans for upcoming events such as Taste and Christmas, so keep your eyes open for more.”
