KIDS who had dumped rubbish among a small group of trees were made to clear up their mess by the police.
East Dorset neighbourhood police made three kids from Verwood clean up bags of mess which had been dumped on land on Monday, August 14.
Around nine bags worth of litter was gathered and six trolleys from the nearby Morrisons was also returned.
Four metal barriers from within the woods were also removed by the youths which were used to make a makeshift den.
Recovered from the copse was a Saving Planet Earth DVD - “ironic”, according to the police officer.
A spokesman said: “Today the East Dorset neighbourhood team have got three youths from Verwood to clear up rubbish that they have been dumping in the copse for the past year.
“Through the restorative justice system, they have helped clear up nine bin bags worth of litter, taken six Morrisons trollies back to the store and removed four large metal barriers from within the woods.
“Ironically though they appear to have been watching a Saving Planet Earth DVD whilst in there.
“Neighbourhood officers have removed the makeshift den. Neighbourhood officers will continue to patrol the copse to help prevent anti-social behaviour. Please report any ASB to the police.”
