A CAR crashed through a barrier and teetered precariously on a verge of the A31 at Ringwood.
Long delays have been reported eastbound on the A31 in response to a single vehicle crash involving a black BMW on Monday morning (August 14).
A witness reported the car had gone over the crash barrier on the eastbound flyover carriageway and become stuck on a grass verge separating the flyover from a slip road into Ringwood.
The witness told the Echo: “Firefighters from Ringwood and Ferndown helped the driver from his car and made the scene safe. The South Central Ambulance hazardous area response team from Eastleigh also attended but the car driver was uninjured.
“With one lane blocked, long tail-backs built up beyond the Ashley Heath roundabout and some traffic used the A338 slip-road to avoid the delays.”
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary were called to the scene after 5.30am.
The force has confirmed no-one was injured.
According to traffic feed INRIX, one lane is closed as a result of the incident as “heavy traffic” is reported.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for more information.
