AN electrical outage affected thousands of houses across Salisbury in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Houses across the city lost power and, in some areas, street lights stopped working for hours.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks confirmed that the outage was caused by a high voltage fault and a follow-up investigation is taking place.

At around 2am on Sunday, August 6, a total of 3,254 homes were hit by a blackout power cut.
Some urgent work was undertaken and this number dropped to 621 before everyone was back on supply at 4.10am.
