The Green Gram Community Refill Shop will soon be moving to a new, larger location on the high street of Fordingbridge.
Owner Jo Anderson said the shop opened in May 2022 “with the aim of helping locals cut the single-use plastic in their weekly shop.” She had previously operated a mobile refill shop in Alderholt from August 2019 and opened The Green Gram with the help of the Plunkett Foundation.

As a refill shop, customers supply their own, reusable containers which the volunteer staff fill with the shopper’s chosen products. All products are priced by weight.
In the 15 months since opening, the shop has already outgrown its current location.
Jo said: “We have had such support from the community that we are rapidly running out of space at 4 Roman Quay, so we’re excited to announce we will be moving to the old Harrison’s building at 23 High Street. The new premises are more easily accessible and the extra space will enable us to offer more products and expand our work with local schools.”
An exact date for the opening of the new location has not been set, but The Green Gram plans to move into its new home during the autumn.
