WILTON Library is set to open before the end of August, a Wiltshire Councillor has said.
Cllr Pauline Church has issued an update on the status of ongoing repairs at Wilton Library.
The library has been closed since Thursday, April 6 after the condition of the ceiling was found to be unsafe. Repairs began on Thursday, June 8.

Cllr Church announced via Facebook on Sunday, July 30 that library team members will be allowed back into the building on Monday, August 14 to prepare for a planned reopening at 1.30pm on Tuesday, August 22. Regular opening hours will resume the next day.
In April, when the library closed, Councillor Ian Blair-Pilling, cabinet member for libraries, said the council was “also taking the opportunity to carry out other repair work to the roof during this period, which will hopefully prevent the need for further works and building closures in the future.”
All books that were on loan at the time of the library’s closing have had their return dates extended until the library’s reopening. Wiltshire Council also said that books can be returned to any other Wiltshire Council library.
