A MAN who harassed a woman admitted he would commit further offences if he was not jailed.
Michael Sheehan, 28, of Wesley Court in Harnham, was sentenced at Salisbury Magistrates Court on July 25 for harassment and failing to surrender to court bail.
Sheehan harassed a woman by sending her numerous messages on February 28 despite being asked not to contact her.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was convicted on March 2 in which he was granted bail but he didn't turn up to court on July 24 for sentencing.
The court heard Sheehan's previous convictions aggravate the offence which is why a custodial sentence was imposed upon him.
Court documents state that Sheehan admitted that, if he is released, he will commit further offences and he made it clear that he would not comply with any requirements of a pre-sentence report.

Magistrates sentenced him to six weeks imprisonment for the harassment charge and five days for failing to surrender to run concurrently.
A restraining order was imposed to prevent him from contacting the victim except via solicitors or as directed by social services for the purposes of child contact.
Sheehan must not attend an address until July 24, 2025 and he was ordered to pay a £154 surcharge to the court.
