Two drivers and a child have suffered serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash on the A338 north of Downton, while another child suffered minor injuries.
Wiltshire Police said around 7.30am, Wednesday, July 26, a Vauxhall Astra travelling southbound between Charlton-All-Saints and Downton collided with a Ford Transit travelling in the opposite direction.
The Vauxhall then continued moving down the road, crashing into a Toyota Corolla.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a woman in her 20s, suffered serious injuries, and a child passenger in the rear of the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries. Another child passenger sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Toyota also suffered serious injuries while the driver of the Ford suffered no reported injuries.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said one person had to be cut free from their vehicle.
Wiltshire Police said the road remains closed as of writing at approximately 4.15pm, Wednesday, July 26, and is “likely to reopen early this evening.”
Police have appealed to the public for witnesses, information, and any dashcam or video members of the public may have of the incident.
