A man has received a driving ban for driving dangerously on the A338 in Bournemouth.
David Pavey, also known as David Chew, was at the wheel of a white Ford Ka when he committed motoring offences on August 5 last year.
The 56-year-old pleaded guilty to driving dangerously, using a vehicle without insurance and failing to stop after an accident in May and appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court to be sentenced on Friday, July 14.
Court papers stated the defendant’s vehicle was involved in a collision with a red Vauxhall Insignia, which was damaged.
Pavey, whose address was given as Heather Gardens, Verwood, received a 24-month community order with a requirement to take part in a 19-day Thinking Skills programme and up to 40 days of rehabilitation activity.
He was fined £280 and ordered to pay £114 surcharge and £200 costs along with a 12-month driving ban.
