A MOTORCYCLIST involved in a crash with a car has been airlifted to hospital with 'potentially life-changing injuries'.
A serious crash involving a motorbike and car took place on the A36 near Stapleford around 11.20am this morning (July 18).
The road has been closed since and the Journal understands it will remain closed for forensic investigation until tomorrow morning (Wednesday, July 19).

The biker, a man aged in his 60s, was taken to Southampton General Hospital and his next of kin have been informed.
Wiltshire Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: "If you saw what happened, or have dash cam footage, please contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log number 104 of today (18/07).
"Alternatively, they can contact the team directly - SCIT@wiltshire.police.uk."
