TWO daughters have shared memories of their dad, a popular city roofer, ahead of his funeral.
Clive Brown worked alongside his brother Trevor as a flat roofer and was a frequent visitor to Salisbury pubs where he built up a "friendly" reputation.
He died on July 5, aged 63, at Salisbury Hospice following a year-long battle with oesophagus cancer during which he "fought to his last breath".
Michelle Oliver, 38, and Zoe Irwin, 34, described their Dad as a "family man and very good friend", adding: "He was not just our Dad, he was our hero. Everyone has some sort of memory of him".
There has been an outpouring of "overwhelming" support for the family from friends sharing thoughts and memories of Clive on social media.
Michelle's favourite memory with her Dad was when the family decided to canoe down the River Avon in 30-degree heat and they "laughed and cried the whole time".

The pair ran the Race For Life in June, raising more than £1,000, and their Dad briefly came out of the hospice to see them cross the finish line.
Prominent childhood memories of cockling in Sandbanks, as well as supporting Salisbury City FC, also stood out.
“He would always listen, believe in us and have faith in us. Life is not going to be the same without him," Michelle added.
The public funeral for Clive will take place in the Holy Redeemer Church at 11am on Tuesday, July 25, and his wake will be held at St Paul's Club.
