Following needed repairs, The Pheasant Inn is due to reopen by the end of August.
A spokesperson for pub holding company Stonegate said: “The Pheasant Inn is due to reopen late August following some interior and exterior improvement works at the premises. A new tenant will be operating the business and looks forward to providing a welcoming environment for the local community.”
The 17th-century pub closed in May following the departure of publicans Martin and Julie Crane, who assumed management of The Crown in Devizes.

In the interim, the pub has undergone repairs and redecorating. Workers could be seen hanging new signs outside the pub on Wednesday, July 12.
Subcontractor David Chandler of Hi-Tec said only minor repairs to the structure were necessary.
He said: “It’s in good shape, given its age.”
David added that many members of the community have shown interest in when the pub will open its doors again.
He said: “A lot of people have passed by asking when the pub is going to reopen.”
