AN HISTORIC country house in the Wiltshire countryside has gone on the market.
Pythouse in Tisbury features 16 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, six-10 reception rooms, as well as stables on the grounds, and it could all be yours for £18,000,000.
According to Historic England, the Grade II* listed Pythouse was originally built around 1725 and rebuilt by John Benett in 1805.
The oldest piece of the house is the fireplace in the morning room, which dates to 1553 and likely originated from Italy.
The new owners will never struggle to give a good first impression, with visitors arriving through entrance gates with large stone piers and a tree-lined carriage drive leading to the main house.

The grounds also include a Grade II* listed private chapel which was built around 1827 but has become derelict, woodlands with wildflowers, a Grade II listed dovecote and a historic ice house.
The sale of Pythouse is being managed by Knight Frank estate agents.
