The Salisbury & South Wilts District Scout Raft Races took place on the River Nadder at Salisbury Canoe Club in Newton Road.
After several weeks of designing and building the rafts, more than 100 scouts from nine troops formed 25 teams in two age groups on Saturday, July 1 to see who could traverse the 200-metre course in the fastest time.
The Year 6 and 7 age group final saw the 3rd Salisbury emerge as the ultimate winner against Bourne Valley Idmiston, while Bourne Valley Idmiston was victorious in the Year 8 and 9 age group final against the 3rd Salisbury.
The fastest time down the course was 2 minutes 28 seconds by the 3rd Salisbury Year 8 and 9 team.
