A MAN has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman.
Police responded to reports of a serious sexual assault in Market Square at around 3.40am on Saturday, June 17.
A 36-year-old man from Salisbury was arrested on suspicion of rape and has been released on bail.
Witnesses said the women's public toilets were taped off following the assault.
Officers have been carrying out CCTV enquiries and have spoken to a number of people following the incidents.
