A FALCON has gone missing from a community farm and residents have upped efforts to chase it down.
Echo, the half Peregrine Falcon half American Kestrel, flew off around 7pm on Saturday, June 10, while being exercised by his owner in Laverstock water meadows.
The five-year-old bird's home is Two Bird Experiences which is based at River Bourne Community Farm near Salisbury.
Emily Langley was exercising Echo by attaching meat to the end of a rope and spinning it around for him to chase.
Usually, once the bird has had enough exercise and 'the hunt' is over, the lure is thrown into the air and Emily shouts 'HO' which is a promise to the bird that this time they will receive the food. This process builds up a trusting relationship.
However, on Saturday, when Emily shouted 'HO' to Echo the lure snapped and he received no reward for his hard work.

Echo is described as being the size of a Kestrel but looks like a small peregrine with a slate grey back, white chest with black spots and a black and white stripey tail.
Anyone who sees Echo should not approach him but should try to get a picture or video, note his location and call Emily on 07376 032589.
He was last spotted travelling between Ford and Winterbourne Earls but has been chased from Laverstock to Gomeldon, through Old Sarum and over to Bemerton Heath.

Emily said losing Echo would be "devastating" for the team, adding: "Echo is a stunning bird, completely unique, and an utter sweetheart."
She thanked everyone from Salisbury and surrounding villages for the "overwhelming response" so far.
"You have all helped so much by sharing, commenting and calling and we now ask that you please keep the momentum going, we are almost there. Let's bring Echo home," she added.
