To end four exciting weeks of Salisbury Live events, organisers will hold a final celebration that promises something for every music taste.

On June 17th and 18th, Salisbury Rugby Club will host ‘Summer Scrum Down’, a diverse array of musical performances as a means of finishing this year’s four-week-long Salisbury live events.

The lineup has something for everyone: an Oasis tribute band ‘Oasis Maybe’, a rock choir, 80’s New Romantic revival and ‘Glasshouse’, who perform music from the past 6 decades.

There will also be market stalls, food stalls, a licensed bar and children’s entertainment.

The event will wrap up four weeks of entertainment including: ‘Live @ The Farm’, ‘Picnic in the Park’ in Alderbury Recreation field; ‘Out and About’ - which involved nine venues in Salisbury to perform live music last weekend.

Last weekend, June 10th, Salisbury Live’s ‘Out and About’ was a hit, with pubs and bars bustling with people enjoying live music - from karaoke to DJs to bands.

In previous years, Salisbury Live would often host live music in as many as 27 pubs.

Since Covid, Salisbury Live has embraced the use of more outdoor spaces as a means of hosting their events, and this year, this has been combined with the return of pub live music.

You can purchase tickets for this weekend’s ‘Summer Scrum Down’ from skiddle.com or at the gate, for £10 a person ( under 12s free).

Salisbury’s Summer live music scene first began with Salisbury Festival, which occurred annually for 42 years until 2016.

Salisbury Live events have been held since the 2000s and the events have become a yearly tradition for the city each year.

Organiser of Salisbury Live, Colin Holton, is already looking ahead to the future of Salisbury Live.

He said: "There are plans for more Salisbury Live events throughout August, and we are already planning for next year. Watch this space."
