“[The young people] were just so up for all the bands, all the tribute bands, the cover bands, the original acts. They just really, really went for it.”
The main acts this year featured David Bowie tribute act Aladdin Sane and Elton John tribute Absolutely Elton.
Colin said: “I think the line-up was appealing, because everyone loves David Bowie. I was on the stage sort of observing when Aladdin Sane was playing and the first ten rows, at least, were all youngsters singing every word.”
Colin also said the volunteers at River Bourne Community Farm were very helpful.
He said: “I’ve got to give a shout-out to the farm volunteers, the army of volunteers who were absolutely on the case and absolutely brilliant. It was a good event.”
With the popularity and attendance levels at the event, Colin labelled the event a success.
He said: “The people loved it. They came out in droves and absolutely loved it. I’m just so pleased to be part of it.”
