A PROFESSIONAL vocal group is set to perform a concert of historical classic for this year’s Music in Whiteparish recital series.
Whiteparish’s musical programme is in full swing and next up is the Sarum Six who delighted Salisbury audiences back in December with a wonderful pre-Christmas performance in the Medieval Hall.
On Saturday, June 3 at 7pm, the group will be heading out of town, to All Saints church in Whiteparish, for a concert featuring sacred classics from the Tudor era, Victorian and Edwardian parlour songs, American spirituals and close harmony arrangements of popular folk songs.

Al Watson of Sarum Six said, “It is always good to have a chance to sing in one of the smaller, lovely, village churches in this area. Whiteparish Church is very special to Sarum Six as it is where the ensemble, in its original line-up, gave its first full concert. It will be great for the group to be there, even for those of us who have joined more recently.”
Richard Tulloch, of the Music in Whiteparish organising committee, said: “Sarum Six has been very popular on their previous two visits here and I have no doubt that they will be equally popular this time too. I recommend anybody who fancies coming along to get their tickets purchased in advance.”
Tickets are available from the village shop opposite the church, or online at ticketsource.co.uk/wp-music.
