A MOTHER who stood up to a motorcyclist driving along the pavement outside her house was almost run over and said the incident has caused stress to her children.
Residents living at the new-build housing estate St Peter's Place, in Salisbury, have been dealing with a recent spate of antisocial behaviour from children on motorcycles.
The young riders are said to have been driving dangerously around roundabouts, toward cars and even on pavements.
This incident happened at the cut-through between Coberely Drive and Fugglestone Red at around 6.50pm on Sunday, May 7.
Wiltshire Police is investigating the incidents and has asked anyone with information to come forward while enquiries continue.
One resident, who will remain anonymous due to fears for her safety, tried to step in to stop a rider from using the pavement outside her house as a shortcut from Fugglestone Red.
Upon challenging the rider, shouting "stop, it's illegal", he sped toward her in front of her nine-year-old daughter who thought "mummy was going to die".
The rider "darted" to her side, clipped her arm and his friend fell off the back of the motorbike.

The resident told the Journal that the incident has left her family shaken, with her four-year-old daughter unable to sleep the night of the incident.
She added: "My partner saw it from the bedroom window. My daughter was watching it all thinking mummy was going to get run over and that mummy was going to die.
"It’s caused a lot of stress for my children."
The resident is now calling for action to prevent this type of antisocial behaviour from happening on her doorstep.
She would like the council to install barricades along the pathway to block motorcyclists using the route.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating following an incident in Salisbury involving a rider and passenger on a moped and a pedestrian – a woman in her 30s.
“No arrests have currently been made and our enquiries are ongoing.”
Councillor Caroline Corbin, of the Bemerton Heath ward, said she has discussed the incident with the estate's developer, Persimmon.
She said: "Obviously, this behaviour shouldn't happen nor be tolerated as it risks lives. St Peter's Place is nice estate with many young families.
"I can only appeal to the owner of the bike to take responsibility for correct use and a housing estate pathway isn't a place for safe use with or without a licence."
Cllr Corbin advised that these bikes should instead be used at sites such as Cusses Gorse MX Track.
