TEN horses ran more than a mile up the A36 after escaping from their field.
The horses were heading towards Steeple Langford on the wrong side of the road.
They escaped on Friday evening, April 28, and managed to run 1.5 miles up the main road before being stopped.

Officers from Community Policing Team Two and the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team attended to rescue the animals.
With help from members of the public, the horses were eventually reunited with their owners.
They were escorted down the A36 and placed back into their rightful field.
Jokingly referencing the film Hot Fuzz, a spokesperson for Amesbury Police said: "A different side to policing occurred this evening that did not involve chasing swans… or just the one…"
