A MEMORIAL site to two teenagers that died in a car crash has been vandalised for the fourth time in a year.

Jackson Watters and Millie Crouch died aged 17 and 12 in a crash in 2016 when an attempt to overtake went tragically wrong.

The memorial is near their home in Stoford and provides a place for family and friends to pay their respects.

The last time it was vandalised was in April 2022, and was discovered when Salli Grant when taking some fresh flowers to the site.

Salli Grant said: "All the flowers, mementoes, bulbs, and personal letters have been pulled up, stamped on, or thrown into the field below.

"It seems to happen around holiday times, Easter, August bank holiday and towards Christmas. There’s a pattern of behaviour.”

This time, Salli says it happened between the hours of 8.30am and 5.30pm on Monday, April 17.

The memorial is not easily seen from the road, so she believes that the individual parked in the layby and deliberately walked across the road to the memorial.

Although a camera had been placed at the site, the images were not conclusive.

Sally said: “We saw the back of a man but not enough to prove anything.”

After the memorial was vandalised for the third time, Salli said everything had been put back securely so that it would not be easy to remove the mementoes.

Sally said: “It was done with venom.”

The crime has been reported to the police and it has been confirmed that they will endeavour to keep an eye on the area.  

Salli is adamant that she will replace the memorial.

“I’m not taking it down, as that would make me even angrier. If someone has a problem with me or my partner, I would rather they just tell us. This is a cowardly act.”

A spokesperson for Wilshire Police said: “We are investigating after a memorial site on the A36 was vandalised for the fourth time.

“This is an incredibly personal site for the family and to have it repeatedly vandalised has caused a great deal of distress.

“Our sympathy is with the family, who will be understandably devastated.
