The A31 at Ringwood will close overnight to complete signage replacement works.
Following the completion of the major road widening and bridge replacement project in November, National Highways will be returning to the A31 on this weekend to replace a sign.
The A31 eastbound will be closed between the Ashley Heath roundabout and the Ringwood exit slip from 10pm on Sunday, April 2, to 6am Monday, April 3.
A diversion will be in place via the A338, A3060, A337 and A31 – which is the best alternative route and is suitable for all vehicles.
National Highways said: “Please plan ahead as this route will add additional time to your journey.”
The £30m project to widen the A31 and replace the bridges over the River Avon and Bickerley Millstream lasted more than one year and was completed on Wednesday, November 30, last year.
