A man has been jailed for four months after pleading guilty to burglary and theft.
Lee Oak, 42, of no fixed address, stole alcohol and other items worth almost £200 from Tesco Extra in Southampton Road on March 15.
He attempted to flee down Southampton Road but was followed and detained by a staff member before police swiftly arrived and arrested him.
On two previous occasions, Oak had stolen items from the Co-op store in Andover Road, Ludgershall.
On December 10, he entered the store as a trespasser after it had closed by prying open the front doors while staff were still present and made off with alcohol.
He also stole food and drink from the shop on November 29.
He appeared in court on March 16 and was sentenced to 16 weeks imprisonment and ordered to pay £154 surcharge.
