SALISBURY Pantry has announced it is going to trial extra opening hours.
The charity, on Catherine Street, is currently only open between 10am and 3pm on Tuesdays.
But now it is going to open from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on Wednesdays, something it says it has wanted to do for a long time.
It has had to secure enough food before announcing the trial, which it says has been a challenge.
The change is coming to effect this week.
The pantry said on social media: "We hope to reach as many members (or potential members) who struggle to visit during the Tuesday hours.
"We may not be at full stock capacity for the trial but we will make sure there is still a varied choice. This is a great opportunity to pop in and see what we are about.
"If you are struggling to make ends meet, you are most definitely not alone. Please do come and meet our friendly team and see what Salisbury pantry has to offer."
It has also recently announced it is looking for extra volunteers.
Once you are a member, a shop costs £5 and you can choose from fresh fruit and veg, cupboard items, toiletries and items from the fridges and freezers.
Members are only allowed to shop once a week.
