General manager of Pret Lucian Neculae said: “It was quite startling. I think the gentleman in the Mini Cooper left the vehicle with the handbrake off and the car went into the window. When he returned, he saw what had happened.”
Luckily no one was hurt.
Lucian said: “It was quite startling. Fortunately, there were not many people about but the entire sheet of glass has to be changed. The man came and gave his insurance details.”
Police attended the scene.
A spokeswoman said: "We were called just before 9am this morning following a report that a vehicle had rolled into the shop window at Pret a Manger in New Canal, Salisbury.
"Nobody was injured. Slight damage was caused to the vehicle and shop window."
