Students from OneSchool Global UK’s (OSG) Salisbury Campus have led a successful campaign to secure donations in support of the Salisbury Foodbank.
The campaign saw the school community donate 450kg of items to help the charity continue to support local residents struggling with the rising cost of living.
It builds on the school’s long-running support for the charity, having run donation campaigns for the foodbank over the last eight years.
Year 12 student Jasmine Diffey and others from the Student Leadership Team were responsible for contacting the foodbank to arrange what items were needed, as well as encouraging fellow pupils and their families to donate.
They also helped organise and support the foodbank to collect the items, with staff from the foodbank having to make two trips to collect all of the donations.
Lara Austin, assistant principal and sixth form lead at OSG’S Salisbury Campus, said: “It is brilliant to see the students rally together to support others in the community that are in need, establishing our values of commitment, care and compassion.
"To find that students are giving up their time to plan, organise and run events to be able to support charities is truly an example to us all.”
